I walked to the southern end of Ptarmigan Lake, located south of Mt. Yale to capture this photo taken on September 9, 2007. My friends and I had just hiked to Ptarmigan Lake via the main trailhead on Cottonwood Pass Road. The "13er" Turner Peak is the pointed peak on the left.

Also, notice the reddish and orange shades in the foreground. Autumn definitely comes early to Colorado's high country!
